Stucco story

The origins on Stucco date back to the 16th century. In the 19th century, it gained great popularity mostly in Europe. Over time, technology changed as well as the ways to install Stucco, but at the turn of the 20th and 21st century stucco experienced its peak of popularity and were used almost everywhere in very much in the modified form they are used today.
They are characterized by great strength, resistance to mechanical damage, and have a good thermal insulation and what is most surprising is that it’s healthy! The Ph stucco ratio is the same as of a human being.
In the US, stucco became popular in the 40s in the twentieth century. It was installed on a metal grid and then directly on brick or wooden slats (the so-called patch). With the passing of time, newer and newer systems have been introduced which enhance this and after the year 1960,  thermal insulation of expanded polystyrene was introduced ( exterior foam insulation IFS). This was mostly done on brick buildings. In the 1990s they also began using EIFS on buildings made of wood. Quality and adapt materials to the substrate caused many buildings to have moisture problems. There were no building codes and often EIFS were made incorrectly. This caused taking holding in water and moisture which rotted most of the construction of the building.

Our company began to gain experience in the early 2000 and quite often performed EIFS. It was used as extra insulation for buildings, but because of the use of multiple materials resistant to water and humidity, the price has increased significantly. There were many complaints about this system and in about 2007, EIFS was hardly ever performed in Illinois anymore. Today materials are available that allow you to do it well. The popular version of the stucco is called stucco classic (hard stucco).
